Denise Richards opened up on why she decided to join OnlyFans in the aftermath of her daughter Sami deciding to do so.
Denise Richards Stands By Her Decision To Join OnlyFans After Daughter Sami-‘You Own Your Content’
The Richards’ family were divided about Sami’s decision, as Denise’s ex-husband Charlie Sheen made it very clear from the outset that he was against the idea. So much so that he referred to it as not being done ‘under his roof.’
At the same time, however, Denise was more sympathetic towards her daughter as she hit back at Charlie on the basis he was not in a position to judge. And after Denise and Charlie managed to work things out, they both came out in support of Sami with the end result that Denise also joined OnlyFans.
With that being said, Denise was adamant that the platform was the best way to go. In an interview with KTLA, she said: “I had heard of OnlyFans but I wasn’t educated on what OnlyFans was.”
“Once I started to learn about it, I really think that the creators of the site really took the best of every platform of social media and put it into one site.” The primary reason why Denise backed the decision was because of the independence it gave content creators.
Each individual has the opportunity to upload the pictures they want, in the manner that they choose to do so. This is in comparison with a modelling agency, who may put pressure on a person to do certain pictures. Not only that, but Denise praised the independence that the platform gave each individual.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “You own your content. The other sites, they can sell your content. We all post pictures with ourselves with bathing suits on Instagram.”
This decision was very divisive at the time, and Denise’s comments are not going to change that anytime soon, as her critics have pointed to the fact the platform leads to the objectification of women.
