Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers indicate the anthology series deals with hard topics. There’s also an overlying theme of choices and how they affect one’s life. The Wednesday, December 25th episode dealt with the issue of mental illness. It also dealt with revenge, social advantages, an not giving up. Here’s what you need to know about the episode.

Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers—Obsessed

The episode focuses on Veronica, as well as her father, Moises. He’s a veterinarian, and she’s following in his footsteps. She’s studying on campus when she meets fellow student named Federico. He talks her into going to a party with him, but his behavior freaks her out. He turns out to be schizophrenic and bipolar, and fixates on her. But when she refuses to go to a wedding with him, things turn violent.

Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers—Following instincts

The episode shows the importance of following one’s instincts when a situation feels off. She makes a bad choice to open the door to Federico. His insistence she get dressed right away and go with him leads to a fight that ends with her in a coma. This is where things take a bit of an ironic turn.

Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers—Irony

Earlier in the episode, Moises made a choice that had a bad outcome. Veronica’s dog was old and suffering, so he decided to put the animal down without talking to her first. This choice angers her, and he soon finds himself facing the hard questions she put to him about her dog fighting to live. He’s told her condition is iffy, and he might have to make a similar decision for his daughter. But that’s not all this episode packs in.

Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers—Moral issues

The episode deals with handling mental illness in the court system as well as social status and it’s perks. Federico is about to face zero consequences for what he did. Not just because of his metal condition, but his family’s status. It seems his dad’s a diplomat and Moises is outraged he might get off with nothing. He decides to take matters into his own hands which leads us to deal with the idea of vigilante justice. So, who wins?

Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers—Winners

Oddly enough, Moises is a lucky man. He’s two seconds away from killing Federico when he gets a call saying his daughter is awake now. The call’s enough of a distraction to let Federico get away and keep Moises from potentially being in the crosshairs of an angry diplomat. Veronica obviously wins when she recovers. But, there’s a loser here too. Federico ends up looking bad when he claims Moises tried to hurt him. No one believes him, so it looks like he’ll be dealing with that for a long time to come.
