‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers suggest that Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) may leave Salem brokenhearted after Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) chooses Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein).
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Alex And Stephanie Admitted They Want To Be Together
Joy feels like an outsider in town except for the bond she’s developed with Alex. Right now, Joy believes she’s connected with Alex, and they are on the same page.
However, viewers saw in a recent episode that Alex and Stephanie opened up to each other about their feelings.
The two of them still want to be together, and spoilers indicate that Stephanie will quit her job as a publicist for Body and Soul and pursue a romantic relationship with Alex since there will no longer be those pesky work rules to adhere to.
Joy is about to see that she can’t compete with what Alex and Stephanie share. To make matters worse, Joy’s friendship with Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) has imploded since she found out her husband, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), almost slept with Joy.
Joy has seemed happy with Alex and credits him for being the one person in town who understands her.
That’s why Alex is hesitant to hurt Joy by telling her he wants to be with Stephanie. When Stephanie explained to Alex that she still cared for him, Alex was immediately on board with giving their relationship another try.
Alex hasn’t told Joy yet, but we can only imagine Joy will be crushed when he does. However, he may not have told her directly.
It’s entirely possible that Joy could walk in on a private moment between Alex and Stephanie and realize he’s all about her.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Cast Of Body And Soul Is In Danger
If Joy decides Salem isn’t the place for her, she could quit her job at Body and Soul. While she’s bound by contract, she may be able to get out of it.
Or Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) could release her from her deal with the soap-with-in-a-soap without any fuss if Chanel agrees to return as Faith.
She may also get out of her contract due to the danger the cast and crew of Body and Soul is in right now. Spoilers show that Joy will soon take a trip to the hospital, which could mean she was targeted by whoever is responsible for the tainted cupcakes and Bonnie Kiriakis’s (Judi Evans) plummeting down the elevator shaft.
Perhaps Joy will feel that Salem has brought her nothing but bad luck and broken relationships. It could be the final straw for Joy that prompts her to literally exit stage left from both Body and Soul and Salem.
In the end, Alex should be the one to break the news to Joy that they are over before they even start. Alex and Stephanie were meant to be a couple.
It’s clear that there is a magnetic pull between Alex and Stephanie that isn’t going away anytime soon.
Joy’s character on Days has been a pot-stirrer and not much else. She’s been entertaining to watch but not exactly relevant.
Unfortunately, Joy may soon need to cut her losses and return to New York or try her luck elsewhere.
