‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers admit we thought we’d never see the day come when we actually felt empathy for Phillip Kiriakis (John Paul Lavoisier) after he not only stole half of Titan from Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) but also made Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) complacent in his crimes.

Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) may have been the one to forge a letter from Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) saying that he wanted Phillip to have the family company. Still, it was Phillip who deceived Xander and hurt him the most.
To sort this all out, the judge declared that Phillip and Xander would share the company 50/50, much to Xander’s chagrin. However, something amazing happens between Xander and Phillip: they become true brothers.
They enjoyed working together and had each other’s backs. It got to the point where we were dreading this day would come, and today was the day when Xander let Phillip have it.
Despite the initial feeling of wanting to see Phillip fry, we can see now that he has a chance to be redeemed. In the April 18th episode, Phillip went straight to Xander to face the music after Vivian informed Xander that his brother had been lying to him for months.
After spouting some much-deserved explicit curse words at Vivian, Phillip went to the Kiriakis mansion to see Xander. Phillip wasn’t one bit dishonest, and he didn’t even try to gloss over the truth.
He looked Xander in the eye and admitted what he did. Xander and Phillip became very emotional as Phillip told Xander how much he loved working with him and being a family.
He explained the whole story and even communicated an incredibly genuine and heartfelt apology to Xander. He told him, not in so many words, that Xander deserved a better brother than he was to him.

Phillip even managed to make a graceful exit, pack his bags, and move out of the mansion. We were impressed by Phillip today. Possibly even moved to tears.
We are hoping against hope that Xander can somehow find a way to forgive Phillip and ask him to share Titan with him.
While it was Xander’s birthright to run the company, Xander gained something far greater and more precious with Phillip. He finally had a real relationship with his brother.
Xander didn’t threaten Phillip or even try to intimidate him. He didn’t hit him with a baseball bat like he was going to do to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) when he thought Brady was responsible for the accident that left Sarah Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) paralyzed.

Instead, Xander showed Phillip how hurt he was. Xander’s feelings of abandonment and not being the so-called “black sheep” of the family rose to the surface all over again. It meant so much to Xander to have bonded with his brother.
Phillip also told Xander he honestly thought this was what Victor would have approved of and wanted if he hadn’t been sent to the mental facility and deemed unstable.
Phillip said that at the time, he had lost everything, including his mind, and made it clear to Xander that what he gained through the fake letter was a brother. We couldn’t help but be moved by Phillip’s words, and we believed every single one of them.
In addition to owning up to his mistakes like a man, Phillip didn’t even sell out Xander’s wife. He told Xander it was all him and Vivian. He shouldered the blame for all of it.
Phillip’s words genuinely touched us, and how he handled the situation with respect and maturity. We hope these two brothers can mend their relationship. They are the brothers we didn’t know we needed to be each other’s anchors, and are earnestly rooting for them to reconcile.
