‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the soap plans to redeem Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer). Some fans may not be initially willing to forgive Doug for stealing Julie Williams’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) necklace and having Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) help to sell it.

‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Doug Didn’t Exactly Make A Good First Impression
However, Doug III is about to get a redemption arc to make his grandfather, Doug Williams (Bill Hayes), proud.
Don’t get us wrong. We weren’t too impressed with Doug when he first arrived in Salem. After Julie lost the love of her life, Doug took her up on her invitation to stay at her house.

He repaid her by stealing from her and then lied to her face about it. That’s not a great introduction for a new character.
To add insult to injury, when Leo fenced the stolen necklace for Doug, he could only sell it for a fraction of what it was worth.
How dare this newcomer show up at Doug’s grave, stay at the Horton family home, and swipe a priceless family heirloom! The viewers were left reeling.
Then, when he failed to give the thugs the full amount he owed them, they beat the living snot out of him. We couldn’t have cared less.

But one person made us care. When Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) took a shine to Doug, so did we. She brought out a relatable and kind side to Doug, and finally, we could see how Doug lived up to his namesake.
It’s always smart for soaps to connect new characters with major players on the canvas. We had to want Doug to redeem himself and while he wasn’t honest with Julie, he told Holly the truth about himself, which endears him more to the audience.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Give Doug And Holly A Chance
It doesn’t hurt that there’s chemistry between Doug and Holly. In fact, some of us are hoping he can capture her attention away from Tate Black (Leo Howard) since he unceremoniously knocked up Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz).

Holly offered to give Doug the rest of the money to the people he owed and made him promise he wouldn’t interact with them ever again. He reluctantly agreed to take the money.
Holly made up a story (as teenagers tend to do), collected the cash from Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers), and gave it to Doug.
After she promised to stay home and not get involved, Holly followed Doug to the park, where Doug was meeting up with one of those punks, and she managed to startle him off, as Doug was left speechless.

The piece of jewelry he pilfered once belonged to the late Alice Horton (Francis Reid). He knows it’s irreplaceable.
After he paid the thugs off, Doug called Leo to get a job, primarily to repay Holly, and he wanted to find the necklace. There may be hope for him yet.
It showed that he would take responsibility for his actions and explain everything to Julie. He’s already on the right path.
We can see Doug and Holly working out long-term as long as fans forgive and open their minds to new possibilities.
