Days of Our Lives spoilers have some thrilling news to impart: Stephen Nichols, AKA ‘Steve’, AKA ‘Patch’ is back on DAYS! He came back for a short run in August of 2018 but received the call about a month ago to come back again! “I’ll be damned!” he said to himself upon getting the call. Nichols was over the moon about coming back to DAYS and its a time for rejoicing for fans as well. Hardcore Patch and Kayla shipper over here, it makes us wonder what that will mean (if anything) for that storyline and if their storylines will entertwine at all. Hopefully they will at some point!

Nichols received a lot of fan support when he returned to DAYS back in August of 2018. “These good people who are so loyal and dedicated to supporting us mean so much to me.” he says. The actor credits social media with being able to connect on a deeper level with fans, he has even started to consider them true friends! It’s so sweet when the power of social media brings people together in a positive fashion.

Supposedly the soap has big plans for Nichols’ character, but Nichols is not one to give away any spoilers. Pity! “You gotta wait and see.” he teases with a wink. But let us make some speculation on what storylines Patch could possibly fit into, given the current situation on Days. The first thing that comes to mind is the kidnapping of Holly Jonas’ and how it is slated to end in tragedy. No one knows yet that Ted Laurent is involved, so that could very well be a reason that Patch is called in, considering he has his own private investigation business.
Another reason he could show up would be to investigate why Ciara and Chloe were held hostage, but that seems rather unlikely seeing that its an open secret that whoever did that was connected to Ben. There is also the current wedding of his son that he wasn’t in town for, maybe he came to wish him well and investigate his new immigrant wife? After all, he is an ex-ISA agent, perhaps he was hired by Jack or Eve to do it? Or maybe there’s a new mystery on the horizon that needs Black Patch investigations’ services. Stay tuned!
