‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers suggest that Stephanie Johnson Kiriakis’s (Abigail Klein) rescue may spark an unexpected love triangle among Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), Stephanie, and Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark).
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Owen Kent Is the True Villain of the Story
Unfortunately, everyone in Salem believed that Jeremy was Stephanie’s stalker/kidnapper, but I think a lot of us suspected that Jeremy was being framed.
Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey) has returned after 16 years of being away from Salem. Apparently, he’s still obsessed with Stephanie. However, why would he suddenly risk his freedom to come back for a young woman he hasn’t seen in well over a decade?

My guess is that Owen read Stephanie’s erotic novel, and that reawakened his interest in Stephanie. “One Stormy Night” is a huge hit, and the whole Anastasia Sands persona may have intrigued him, especially once the truth about Stephanie’s identity was revealed.
There is some speculation that Stephanie may be torn between Alex and Jeremy once all is said and done. Once Stephanie realized that Jeremy risked everything to find her, she seemed genuinely touched.
She was still trying to process the shock of it all when Owen appeared and admitted to Stephanie that Jermey was the perfect fall guy for his diabolical plan.

You can bet Owen isn’t done with Stephanie yet, as he’s going to end up whisking Stephanie off somewhere and leaving Jeremy behind.
Spoilers indicate that when Alex comes to the storeroom in the hospital and finds Jeremy alone there, he’s going to deck Jeremy without first getting all the facts.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Stephanie Now Has Two Heroes: Jeremy and Alex
He’s still going to assume Jeremy is the stalker, but once Jeremy explains to Alex that Owen Kent kidnapped his wife, they will work together to find Stephanie.
So, that means Stephanie will have two heroes saving her, instead of one. It’s very common for women who are victims of trauma to fall for their rescuer, and in this case, that points to both Alex and Jeremy. I see a love triangle brewing.

Salem really did Jeremy dirty, as everyone assumed that Jermey was guilty. Even Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) turned on Jeremy after Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) showed her “evidence” that Jermey tried to stab Alex on Halloween.
Assuming the person who tried to stab Alex was Owen, he was likely dressed as Jeremy and wearing a mask. The twist makes sense to those who believed in Jeremy’s innocence all along, which I very much did.

Plus, all the clues pointed to Jeremy being a red herring in the storyline. There was way too much heat on Jeremy for him to actually to be guilty.
For those of us who have watched soaps for decades, we know how they tend to operate. Those who are accused and maligned are often innocent.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Everyone In Salem Damaged Jeremy’s Reputation.
However, there was the recent exception of Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) on General Hospital, who was very guilty of shooting her husband, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), but I digress.
It was obvious that Jeremy wasn’t guilty from the start. There was something about him that made me believe that he truly was a changed man. Jeremy seemed genuine and remorseful for his past actions.
Not to mention, the Salem PD is nothing if not totally inept, and all the police who work there, including the police commissioner, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu).

Her botched investigation was a nightmare to watch and an embarrassment to law enforcement everywhere. It was obvious that there was bias with Jada. After all, she’s Stephanie’s BFF.
There were actually several glaringly obvious inconsistencies in the story, but the reveal that Jeremy was innocent was a classic soap twist. It made more sense than the rest of the story.

At any rate, the real predator was never ever Jeremy. Pretty much all of Salem was on a tirade as they all worked together to damage Jeremy’s reputation and his life.
Knowing Julie, she’s going to stand by Jeremy and deliver a great big “I told you so” to everyone. Stephanie may realize that Jeremy has truly changed, and Alex may soon find himself competing with the man whom he was so motivated to punish.
