‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that Justin Kiriakis isn’t often at the center of the drama in Salem, but this week the tables will turn and Justin will become a wanted man- in all the good ways.
Firstly, let’s shout out to Wally Kurth for his nomination in the “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series” category at this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards.
The nomination stemmed from the very emotional storyline of Justin losing his wife, Adrienne Johnson (Judi Evans) who was killed after Orpheus (George DelHoyo) ran her off the road.
Justin’s grief filled confrontation with Orpheus at the Salem PD station was also included in Kurth’s reel that earned him the nom.

Since this storyline, though, Justin has done little more than ‘lawyer’ for people, and start up a romance with Adrienne’s doppleganger, Bonnie Lockhart (also Judi Evans). Even that romance with Bonnie seems to have happened quite a bit ‘behind the scenes’
Justin, however, will be front and center this week as both Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) duke it out as to who will gain Justin’s expertise.
Obviously he can only take one of them on as a client, seeing as Ciara wants Justin to force Ben to sign her divorce papers and Ben wants just the opposite. Which team is Justin on, and will he let his personal relationships guide his professional life?
The good thing is, it’s not all work, work, work for Justin as this week he will be swept off his feet by Bonnie in the form of a marriage proposal…which he will turn down.
Don’t feel too bad for Bonnie though- Justin does want to marry his dead wife’s lookalike, he just wants to be the one to ask.
We can’t imagine there will be a lot of support for Justin and Bonnie, especially from Adrienne’s brother Steve ‘Patch’ Johnson (Stephen Nicols), who already let his thoughts on the pair’s unlikely relationship known.
Fireworks are sure to fly- maybe just in time for Kurth to earn another acting nomination at next years’ daytime Emmys?
