‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate that Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) is having some serious competition from Jennifer over Jack Devereaux (Matthew Ashford). Welcome to a new week in Salem, where desperation is plentiful, and so is the denial. If you missed all the Days of Our Lives spoilers, get ready for your daily Days of Our Lives recap to catch up.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Money doesn’t fix it all
Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) ended last week by paying Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) to have a dinner with Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves), JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss), and Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi). He also offered Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) a cushy Paris gig with DiMera to get her out of the family’s way. Looks like he somewhat wasted his efforts.

For starters, he may or may not have made progress with Abigail. While she does stop by to thank him for arranging the dinner (and seems glad to know Eve may be on the way out—we feel her), things haven’t changed too much. She’s still not ready to trust him, and she thinks he’s working through stuff himself, due to the Stefan thing. She thinks they need a lot more time before things will be right.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Jennifer Back With Jack? – Eve Gets Desperate
Speaking of things that aren’t right, Chad also may be failing in another respect. Eve starts off the episode by throwing the contract he gave her in the trash and going on a search for Jack. In the process, she runs into Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans), who suggests she may be better off elsewhere. You think? Anyway, she points out the fact that Jennifer and Jack will always find a way back to each other, and Eve is only hurting herself by staying where she can be reminded of her late daughter all the time.

She sincerely tries to help Eve give up this pathetic scheme she’s been doing for everyone’s (including Eve’s) good, but what would TV land be without someone not learning? Eve instead asks JJ, who also happens by during their talk, where Jack might be. He informs her Jack is having dinner with Jennifer. He also awesomely informs her the rest is none of her business.
That won’t stop Eve, who tracks him down just as he’s about to kiss Jennifer. She breaks in on it and proceeds to embarrass herself, but Jack is dumb enough to go along with it. He leaves with Eve, reminding Jennifer he mostly came for the money.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: JJ on a hit list?
We’re suddenly worried about JJ, who has gotten on the bad side of Melinda Trask (here forth known as Dragon Lady, and played by Laura Kai Chen). He happens to walk in on that little pow-wow in the Park of Discovery and won’t leave things be when Hayley Chen (Thia Megia) tries to brush it off. He calls Dragon Lady out for seeming to not care all that much about Hayley’s suicide attempt, which Dragon Lady denies.

She tries to sell him on a silly story about the small number of Chinese-Americas in Salem and how that makes them a family, which JJ sees right through. And that little performance makes us believe there’s a lot more to blame for her apparently dismal conviction rate post-Gabby-with-a-Y’s false statements against Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus). A two-year-old could probably cover for what he overheard better.
Anyway, JJ won’t drop it and when he leaves, Dragon Lady tells Hayley this better get fixed, or she’ll fix things herself. By the end of the episode, Hayley is knocking on JJ’s door for a place to stay, as Dragon Lady wants her nowhere near. Tread carefully here, JJ.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Pathetic Trifecta – Sarah Isn’t Having Any of Rex’s Shenanigans
As if Eve and Dragon Lady weren’t enough, Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) has come back into the picture, showing up at Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) house at the end of the last episode. He’s here to win Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) back, something Sarah isn’t having. She tells him off yet again for cheating and moving his ex and kid to Chicago.
Despite her telling him yet again she wants nothing to do with him, Rex insists he’s here to win her back. And we’re thinking no one in Salem knows the meaning of pride, dignity, or cutting one’s losses. We’ll see if he’s successful or not in managing to win her trust back.
