Gleb Savchenko has opened up on how he tried to salvage his marriage with Elena Samodanova before the duo decided to file for divorce.
‘Dancing With The Stars’: Gleb Savchenko Tried His Best To Save His Marriage
Gleb, who is best known for being on Dancing with the Stars, was accused of being unfaithful with Chrishell Stause. While he denied that he had done anything wrong, their relationship could no longer continue, as Gleb stated how their relationship was often toxic. But those experiences reassured Gleb that he gave it his all.
In an interview on the Whine Down podcast, Gleb said: “We tried to make it work. There were several times we broke up. We lived separately for a little bit. I tried my best to make it work. She tried her best to make it work.”
But with the relationship no longer viable, the problems soon transpired to the divorce process. Things were not made so simple for the following reasons: First of all, during their 14-year marriage, they managed to raise two kids: Olivia and Zlata. Not only that, the duo began to have disagreements over the terms of the spousal support.
And with the kids firmly placed in the middle, it started to get a little bitter. This made co-parenting even more difficult. He added: “It’s hard at times because no one’s perfect… When [the split [s] in its early stage, it’s hard to do because you can’t stand each other. You’re like, ‘I don’t want to see your ass at all.”
Despite the difficulties of co-parenting, does Gleb have any regrets? Not in the slightest, but he viewed it in a different way. Rather than questioning whether a divorce was the right thing to do, the dancer was focused on taking things as they come. This may explain why Gleb has always been linked to so many different women in the past, partly due to his nonchalant approach to life.
He continued: “Whatever’s supposed to happen, happens. It’s not like one day you wake up and think, I don’t want to be with this person anymore.” Let us hope that Gleb and Elena can work things out for the sake of their kids.
