Sharna Burgess has responded to the claims that she has an unfair advantage on the show because she has partnered up with her boyfriend, Brian Austin Green.

A certain subset of fans have suggested that they should not have been allowed to dance together on Dancing with the Stars because, unlike other couples, they have the advantage of being able to practice more by virtue of the fact that they live together.
Not only that but some have claimed that this has made it easier to show their chemistry on screen and resonate with the public in order to win their votes.
And yet, Sharna denied that this was the case. In fact, she went as far as suggesting that they were facing more hurdles because of it. In an interview with Us Weekly, Sharna said: “Honestly, it’s almost a disadvantage.
“We have this sensitivity when minding each other’s feelings. We want to make sure our relationship is good outside of it. That’s always going to be a priority for us.”
And the struggles have been played out on screen. Although the couple have managed to make it safely ahead of the third week, Brian has been accused of failing to connect with the audience.
It is clear that he has a deep connection with Sharna, but it cannot come at the expense of the audience, who ultimately are the ones they have to impress. But that is something that Sharna is keen to get right.
She added: “People are expecting this intense chemistry all the time on the dance floor. And if it’s not there, then people are like, ‘They don’t have chemistry.’
“Dance is so different. … We are doing our very best with it.” Despite the pressure associated with the show, Sharna could not be any happier at how things are going.
She has the chance to tell her story with her boyfriend. Her following comments confirmed as much: “We get to create memories, and we get to love it.”
