Courteney Cox Wishes She Never Had Injectables-‘You Don’t Realize What It Looks Like’
In a recent podcast, “Gloss Angeles Beauty Podcast, Cox discussed her experience with facial fillers and how it was her greatest beauty regret. The Friends actress shared candidly about her beauty routine, makeup products, and history with facial fillers.
The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery defines dermal fillers as substances with a gel-like consistency that are injected under the skin to reduce wrinkles and add volume. These fillers are also used to improve the shape of facial features.
According to her disclosure, the use of anti-aging injections in the past was the greatest beauty mistake she made. She referred to the act of attempting to appear younger as one ages as a ‘domino effect’ that causes an increase in the number of fillers used as one begins to perceive oneself as normal.
In her comments, she said: “I look at pictures of me from when I thought I looked OK, and I can’t believe it…You look in the mirror and go, ‘Oh, that looks good,’ you think.
“And you don’t realize what it looks like to the outside person and just doing too many fillers and having to have them removed, which, thank God, they are removable.”
The Emmy-nominated performer has previously discussed her dissatisfaction with cosmetic treatments. In an interview with the Sunday Times in February 2022, she expressed her dislike for the ongoing scrutiny regarding her looks. She remarked: “The scrutiny is intense, but I don’t know if it could be more intense than what I put on myself.”
