Country singer Jason Aldean has vowed to continue speaking his mind, despite the fact that cancel culture has threatened many high-profile stars.

Jason, for his part, sent the internet wild when he was recently pictured with his wife as she was wearing t-shirts expressing an anti-Joe Biden sentiment.
While he did receive significant support amongst his fan base, there is always the question of people looking to put somebody down when they share their beliefs.
But in an interview on the Audacy’s Rob + Holly show, he said: “I think people know where I stand politically. I’m not a guy that’s just going to go out there and start trying to stir the pot just to stir the pot.
“At some point, it’s gotten to where if you’re a conservative and you’re in this business, you’re not allowed to speak.”
But for all the criticism, that does not mean Jason lacks support. Far from it. In fact, according to him, there are many among his peers who are completely supportive of what Joe has to say.
And yet, they are afraid of speaking out over fears of what could happen as a consequence. He added: “[People] are really scared to stand up and say anything for fear of backlash.”
The singer, in contrast, has so much conviction that he feels he must voice his opinion even if it is going to alienate a section of his fan base.
What is more important for Jason is staying true to who he is as an artist, rather than pandering to populism on the basis that it would be a better way to last longer in his profession.
His following comments confirmed as much: “To me, it’s hard for [me] to go lay my head down at night with a clear conscience, feeling like I’m a coward for not saying the things that I want to say or I feel like need to be said.”
This explains why Jason has continued to defend his position towards president Joe Biden and has refused to apologise over the t-shirts that his wife wore.
