‘Counting On’ spoilers indicate that Megyn Kelley, the Duggars addressed the situation with Josh Duggar, saying that he only touched their daughters over their clothes and really tried to downplay the severity of the whole thing. I mean, maybe it’s just me but perhaps Kelly should have scored that entire interview with a soundtrack of duelling banjos and called it a day. It was just that messed up.
However if you do a little digging into the police report, and yes, surprisingly there was one filed (I’m amazed, what goes on in these kinds of circles usually doesn’t ever reach the light of day.), you will find that that statement just isn’t true.

The girls were complaining about Josh touching them on their lady parts while they were sleeping, but they also made it clear to their Mom and Dad that Josh made his way underneath the clothes. In fact, one of the sisters had ran into the laundry room crying during one of these episodes.
They got Josh help apparently, but the place where they sent him was not a place designed for sex offenders. So it’s no wonder the guy ended up on Ashley Madison cheating on his wife a decade later.
What amazes me about this particular family is that as much faith as they claim to have, they apparently didn’t read the part in the Old Testament referring to anyone who lays with a woman who is not his wife is to be referred to the Lord God himself.
I’m not advocating murder her, but you’d think that they would have at least tried to get him help for his actual affliction instead of beating around the bush and basically telling him that he needed a place where chores kept him too busy to think of the opposite sex. (The place they put him was a place where teens did construction, fi I remember correctly.)
They go on and on about how if a girl dresses inappropriately, that they will cause a man to fall… sorry that doesn’t fly, because no underage girl, dressed appropriately or not, is the fault of her brother ‘falling’ into being sexually inapproriate with her.
So why did they lie? Obviously to keep down the heat on the family, and perhaps on Josh, who knows? But the fact of the matter is, they let him get away with the murder of their own daughters’ innocence, and that, is inexcusable.
