Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo have given their take on the news that the Counting On series has been taken off the air.

The producers made the decision after a member of the Duggar family (Josh Duggar) had been arrested on the grounds of being in possession of sexual/pornographic images related to children. While an investigation is currently ongoing to determine whether or not Josh is guilty, it seemed appropriate to allow the family to deal with the upcoming trial without any media attention being thrust upon them.
As for Jinger and Jeremy, they could not agree anymore. In a post to their fans on Instagram, they said: “We wholeheartedly agree with TLC’s decision not to renew Counting On and are excited for the next chapter in our lives. We’d like to thank our fans, friends and the amazing film crew.”
The pair, though, did pay homage to the show that had given them so many opportunities. Jeremy, in particular, had managed to rebrand himself as a reality TV star after retiring from his days of playing professional soccer.
And given that it has allowed the family to extend their brand, they made sure they left some warm words for the show. They stated: “We are grateful for TLC giving us the opportunity to be on their network…that has opened doors to travelling and experiencing the world in a way that we wouldn’t have imagined.”
It is not clear where the couple will go from here. The outcome of Josh’s trial may have a big impact on where they go next. Should Josh be convicted, then they may take some time off in order to let the whole saga die down for a while.
However, if he were to be declared innocent, the family would have to decide whether they would want to help Josh rehabilitate himself. Regardless of the outcome, it looks as though the couple have already made some plans. They continued: “We look forward to continuing our creative journey in Los Angeles and seeing what the future holds.”
