Jill Duggar has opened up on her recent miscarriage that she went through with her husband, Derick Dillard.

The pair are keen on growing their family further, despite having two children already to their name: Israel and Samuel. And things were looking even better, as the pair had the chance to introduce a new sibling to their children, but ultimately the news did not go ahead as planned.
In a post to their fans on Instagram, Jill shared a video of her pregnancy journey. In the footage, we can see that she had bought a pregnancy test, and after using it, the results showed that she was pregnant.
The post was captioned with the following comments: “We recently found out we were expecting our third baby. We were thrilled! However, a few days later, we started miscarrying.
“We love and miss you, River Bliss!” The news was hard to take, especially since the couple had already decided on a new name for the child.
And given that the two are into their Christian faith, the news did test them as it created a lot of pain during a time when things are already difficult due to the pandemic.
Jill added: “One meaning for River is ‘tranquil,’ and here in Arkansas, rivers are often a serene, beautiful escape in nature…Our baby doesn’t get to live here with us on earth but is forever with the source of the river of life.”
Despite the sad news, Jill and Derick still want to have more children. It is not clear yet when they will try to have another child. Therefore, it is probably wise that the pair take a break in order to fully heal from this experience.
After all, this is the third miscarriage that Jill has had. Their following comments confirmed as much: “We’ll see. We’re just kind of enjoying life. [It’s] not definite.”
Let us hope that the pair can recover from this and try to look at the bright side of things. It is not going to be easy, but with the support of their family and friends, they should be fine in no time.
