Coronation Street spoilers‘s Christmas episode is full of tragedy as two characters are pronounced dead and two others have sustained serious injuries after being shot. It is indeed a sad Christmas for Coronation street residents.
The Christmas festivities were disrupted when Derek (Craige Els) started a gun rampage and went into the Rovers. As Gary (Mikey North) sighted Derek, who was pointing a gun at him, he took the showdown outside the Rovers and a very dangerous occurrence happened in Winter Wonderland that left two dead and two injured.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Two Dead on Corrie, Shona’s Fate Uncertain
Shona Patt (Julia Goulding), who was hiding inside a present decoration got wounded. She was hiding to surprise David (Jack P Shepherd) for his birthday when a gunshot came through and she sustained injuries. She was rushed to the hospital. On Coronation street, Michelle Connor (played by Kym Marsh) was questioning the revenge she plotted against Robert Preston (played by Tristan Gemmill) after he refused to report her to the police, he was shot in the rampage and Michelle and Carla (played by Alison King) received the news that he had been killed.
This sparks the end for Actor, Tristan on Coronation Street, with Actress Kym’s exit from the show to come later this week when she leaves the bistro to start a new life. As Derek’s gun rampage ends, Gary faces him and both of them start to fight. Derek falls down as the two men struggle. Despite sustaining an injury from being shot in the arm, Gary tries to save Derek, but Derek falls to his death because Gary lost his grasp.
Meanwhile, things might get bad for Shona as well. Although she might recover from the injury, her future at Coronation Street also looks uncertain. Actress Julia Goulding who plays the role of Shona on Coronation Street has gone on maternity leave few months ago, so we all know that Shona’s temporary exit from the cobbles is imminent. Rumours have it that Coronation Street wrote in the character’s involvement in Derek’s shooting so that her extended absence can make sense to viewers. It looks like Shona will be spending the next months in the hospital.
