There was an awful lot of chaos on the cobbles on Christmas Day, which meant that Adam Barlow’s (Sam Robertson) proposal to Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) went under the radar a little. Adam popped the question as Derek Milligan began firing shots on the fairground. Sarah was astonished that he asked, but she quickly replied with a yes.
Caught up in the excitement she let go of her baby, and Harry almost got caught in the crossfire until Gary Windass (Mikey North) stepped in to save the day. He safely returned Harry to his mother before Derek’s tirade continued. It eventually ended in Derek being pushed off the balcony at the top of the Winter Wonderland, but at least there was good news to come out of the evening.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Bumps In The Road
It isn’t likely to be plain sailing for the newly engaged couple, as Gary has been hell-bent on ruining their celebrations by increasing the rent on the factory. Sarah has grown sick of Gary constantly getting in the way of their celebrations, and could be forced to pay the rent just to keep him appeased.
There have also been rumours over recent weeks that the two may have an affair, but it is unclear yet whether that will be before the wedding. Gary himself is caught in a love triangle including Maria (Samia Longchambon) and Ali (James Burrows). He recently had to admit that he was a loan shark to her, and their relationship could be hitting the buffers.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Filming In Manchester
The cast and crew of Coronation Street were seen filming scenes for the upcoming wedding in the centre of Manchester this week. Bethany and Sarah were seen entering looking casual, but they were holding pink dresses, which could have been a little giveaway of what they may be wearing for the big day.
The wedding looks set to be one of the biggest storylines in the soap as we approach the summer, but whether the wedding will go off without a hitch is something that we can only speculate at this point. Fans will have to wait for a number of months before we can see the scenes, but it is sure to be a day nobody will ever forget.
