Coronation Street Spoilers tease that James Bailey made the brave decision last week to finally let the world know the secret that he has been hiding throughout his life. His mother and brother already knew that he was gay, but he was most afraid of breaking the news to his father. It’s fair to say the Ed didn’t take the news the best, as he immediately raced round to the Bistro to shout at Danny.

Ed believed that Danny had ‘corrupted’ his son, before later having another discussion with Danny, which ultimately ended in him breaking up with James. The son was fuming with the role that his father played, and the story looks set to rumble on over the coming weeks as Aggie is due to collect a prestigious award.

Coronation Street Spoilers: Aggie To Collect Award

Aggie has been the glue that has been holding the family together over recent weeks, and she will once again be in the middle of the story next week. Aggie was furious with the way that Ed reacted to James coming out, and admitted that he should be more respectful of his son’s decision.

The situation could reach breaking point over the coming weeks as Aggie is set to pick up an award during the Golden Hearts. She was nominated for the accolade by her son’s, who admitted that she deserved to be rewarded for the bravery that she showed while trying to say Robert Preston’s life.

Coronation Street Spoilers: Will The Family Remain Civil?

Aggie will be worried throughout the day that something terrible may happen, as the relationship between Ed and James remains tense. However, James will be the bigger person in the situation and admit that they should be civil for Aggie’s sake for the reward ceremony.

However, will Ed be able to keep his opinions to himself throughout the evening, or will there be fireworks? James still wants to keep his sexuality away from the limelight after admitting that being a gay footballer may make his life too hard. Viewers will have to see how this plays out when the soap airs next week. For any other soap opera and entertainment news, please visit Daily Soap Dish.
