Coronation Street Spoilers It has been a heartbreaking year for David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) in Coronation Street, but as soon as things looked to have been getting better, they have got worse again. He was finally released from prison towards the end of last year, and then he immediately married Shona (Julia Goulding).
However, they weren’t given a lot of time to celebrate, as Shona was desperately fighting for her life after being struck with a bullet on Christmas Day. She was immediately taken to hospital where she gained consciousness and spoke at length with David, before then going into a coma.

Shona eventually woke from her coma last week, but she had suffered short-term memory loss. She didn’t know who David or the rest of the Platt’s were. David brought in his son to help jog her memory, but she instead called him ‘Clayton’, which instantly shocked the whole family as he was the man that had murdered David’s previous wife.
The nurses eventually decided that they were unable to look after Shona and that she instead needed professional help. In last night’s episode, it was revealed that Shona would be moving to Leeds, with David splitting his time in between the two cities. But, could there be a shocking twist on the horizon for the newly married couple?
Coronation Street Spoilers: Shona’s Memory Loss To Remain?
With Shona now off the soap for the foreseeable future, and David not being able to spend all his time at her side, could there be a chance that she may begin to catch feelings for another patient at the hospital in Leeds? The scenes aren’t expected to air until at least the summer, but as David can no longer commit as much time to travel, Shona grows closer to a mystery man.
Since Shona has no recollection of David, he will have no option but to forgive her. But, will David have one final plan up his sleeve as an attempt to try and jog her memory and remind her who she is really married to? Fans will have to wait for a few months before the scenes air.
