ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers revel that fans were on the edge of their seat throughout Monday’s episode as they watched the fallout from the dramatic scenes that saw Yasmeen Nazir stab Geoff Metcalfe on Friday. Residents in Weatherfield were stunned when an ambulance arrived at the house, with Tim immediately fearing that his father had another heart attack.
However, he was unaware that it was really Yasmeen that inflicted the damage on his father. Tim went with Geoff to the hospital, while Yasmeen was bundled into the back of a police car after being arrested for assault. Sally Metcalfe watched on in disbelief, and she had to share the news with Tim later in the episode that Geoff was lying in a hospital bed because of Yasmeen.

The residents of Weatherfield have been unaware that Geoff has been making Yasmeen’s life a living misery for the past couple of months with his controlling behaviour. Eileen Grimshaw admitted in the Rovers that it didn’t look like Yasmeen was the angry one when she was them arguing, and that could prove crucial.
The majority of the episode took place within the police interview room, as police questioned Yasmeen. However, due to the amount of control that Geoff has over her, she continuously wanted to know whether he was okay rather than tell the police about the events from the night, which saw Yasmeen acting in self-defence as Geoff came at her with a knife. Imran was brought in as Yasmeen’s lawyer and reminded her that the situation could get worse should Geoff not recover.

Viewers were shocked at how blunt Imran was with Yasmeen, as he admitted that she shouldn’t say anything as he needs to try and build her case. He admitted that things could get worse for her should Geoff not wake up, as she would instead be looking down the barrel of a murder charge instead of assault.
Shortly after Monday’s episode, the trailer for May’s Coronation Street was revealed, and fans were given the spoiler that they needed as to whether Geoff survives. Viewers were stunned as the clip showed Geoff away and shouting that he had tried to kill her. Later clips showed Yasmeen standing in court, but could she still be looking at prison time?
