ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers indicate that fans are delighted that Carla Connor and Peter Barlow are back together. The couple famously fell out a number of years ago, but they are back together and stronger than ever right now. Peter was there for Carla when she was suffering from mental health issues last year.

There could be more problems on the horizon for the couple over the next couple of weeks as Carla agrees to take over the Rovers Return for Johnny. The landlord will be stunned by a face from his past, and that will mean he will quickly look to escape the area. But, will his decision to leave Carla in charge have a negative effect on Peter?

ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers: Peter’s Past Battle With Alcohol

Fans will be aware of the constant battles that Peter has had with alcohol, with his last relapse coming last year. He was admitted into rehab to get over the addiction, but he swiftly checked himself out when he heard that Carla had been suffering from mental health problems.

Carla held herself responsible for Rana Connor’s death, and kept seeing her when she would walk down the street. Peter returned to Weatherfield to help Carla and help her through the ordeal, but will this latest move put too much stress on Peter with so much temptation around him?

ITV ‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers: Can Carla Look Out For Peter?

Carla will make the decision to take over at the Rovers before consulting Peter, but she will admit that it will give them a place to call home for a number of weeks after Peter was kicked out of living at number one now Steve McDonald and Tracy live there.

The pressure will be on Carla to stop Peter from being interested in drinking, as she is constantly his rock. While the two of them are on the same page, then the chances of Peter drinking again are pretty low. But will they be able to get through this short-term role unscathed?
