Coronation Street spoilers finds that fans have been shocked by the treatment of Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) by her now-husband Geoff Metcalf (Ian Bartholomew) for months now. He has manipulated her to persuade her that she couldn’t do any better than him.
Geoff has feigned health issues, and even a break-in of their house to push away every close to her. During that break-in, he framed Alya (Sair Khan) and blamed her for having strangers around the house. He stole some pieces of jewellery to make it more realistic before selling them to a local businessman. But, could he about to meet his match when Yasmeen’s friend finds out the truth?
Coronation Street Spoilers: Cathy To Catch Geoff?
Last week, Geoff and Yasmeen returned from their trip to Las Vegas, and they announced to everybody’s amazement that they had got married while they were away. However, it hasn’t changed how he treats Yasmeen. He forced her to clean the entire house ready for the guests and then shouted at her when he found dirty glasses being handed out to guests. During the same party, Cathy (Melanie Hill) was seen taking a piece of crab out of her teeth, and that forced Geoff to lose his temper again. However, could Cathy about to find out the truth behind Yasmeen’s manipulative husband, and then take matters into her own hands?
Coronation Street Spoilers: Yasmeen To Speak To Cathy
Over the next couple of weeks, we will see Yasmeen talking to Cathy. She will apologise about the crab-fiasco, but Cathy will be dumbstruck when she confesses that there was no problem. She will become quickly aware of what Geoff has been doing to his friend, and that will drive her closer to the truth. Cathy has always been an important character in the soap and has constantly leapt to the defence of her friends. It would appear that she would be doing the same again here for Yasmeen. But, could Cathy go as far as killing Geoff to get Yasmeen away from him? It could be the only way to get her out of his grip, but it seems a little far-fetched. We will have to see over the coming weeks. It could be a crucial part of Coronation Streets 10,000th episode, which is due to take place very early in the new year.
