Bethany’s feelings for Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) have been no secret to anyone living on the street. But, it has been revealed that these feelings could have a significant impact on her exit from the soap.

Bethany’s feelings may not have been a surprise to viewers, but the question of whether Daniel reciprocates them remains a doubt.
The two shared a moment in the ally behind the houses on the street following a pre-Christmas dinner bust-up with cancer-stricken Sinead (Katie McGlynn).
Daniel stormed out of their apartment and took shelter behind the houses. He was quickly approached by Bethany, who asked him if he was okay. The two shared a hug before Daniel leaned in for a kiss.
Bethany was conflicted since he knew of the circumstances surrounding Sinead but decided to embrace Daniel. Their moment was shortlived however as Ken Barlow (William Roche) saw the two and demanded that Daniel go home to Sinead.
Daniel decided to come clean with his ill wife about the moment that he shared and begged for forgiveness, which she dually did. However, could Bethany and Daniel now pick up their romance following the heartbreaking death of Sinead?
Coronation Street Spoilers: Bethany’s Exit
Corrie’s producer Iain Macleod recently teased that the rekindling could happen. He stated that viewers would see an “interesting next chapter of the Daniel and Bethany story, which will be about Daniel’s grief.”
He also stated that they believe they have found an interesting way to portray his grief. Macleod also continued by admitting that viewers should be set for a dark turn, but the romance could play a crucial role in Fallon’s exit.
The news came after shocking pictures emerged that showed Fallon filming scenes with sleazy Ray Crosby. That could potentially be the dark turn that the show’s producer was speaking about.
Bethany has already survived through a sexual abuse storyline, and this would be another ordeal for the character.
Viewers will be hoping that Bethany will leave the cobbles on a happy note, and perhaps her happily ever after with Daniel could ensure that.
We will have to wait and see as Fallon’s departure from Coronation Street will not be aired until March 2020.
