Colin Jost has opened up on his wedding experience with Scarlett Johansson in what has been a remakable few years for the man.

He told Entertainment Tonight how he took a backseat in the wedding preparations: “I don’t pretend to know much about things or have taste in things. I’m very happy to rely on someone who has a lot better taste and knowledge of things. That’s sort of what I’ve learned in general in my life. I’ve never been like, ‘Oh, should I wear this shirt? I never know, so I always would rather someone else tell me.
“I never grew up imagining my dream wedding, like, this is what I want. I imagined my dream partner rather than my dream wedding. There’s a lot of details to it that I just didn’t even consider.” This would explain why Colin was so hush on the wedding. The duo got married in October last year which shook the internet at the time.
But rather than publicise the whole thing for monetary gain, the couple took a different root. They used the euphoria surrounding the occasion to provide some help during the pandemic. This was obviously welcomed and they marked the announcement with some much-needed charity:
A statement on behalf of the couple said at the time: “We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and loved ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC.”
It has been great to see Colin doing so well. After all, it was only recently that he opened up on his depression which he had been going through after facing trolls on social media. This arose in response to his Saturday Night Live shows. When speaking at the time, he said: “I felt depressed that I just felt like I was failing at it.
“That was the hardest part. And I didn’t quite know how to not feel that way or how to get out of that feeling. It’s hard, and there’s no way of getting better at it other than doing it more. There’s no other place you can go to practice doing a live Weekend Update. There’s nothing like it.”
