Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s legal trial has captivated the nation to the point where a coffee shop is allowing customers to back their person.
Coffee Shop Asks Customers If They Back Johnny Depp Or Amber Heard-‘It’s Getting Weird’
Public opinion seems to suggest that Johnny is winning the case, even if his reputation will be damaged in the process of his public life being aired out. And in order to put that to the test, one coffee shop (Dialog Cafe) decided to set up a way for customers to show who they support.
In the pictures here, we can see that there are two tipping jars. One is labeled with Johnny’s name, while the other is with Amber’s. On closer inspection, it is clear that Johnny’s jar has a whole lot more money than Amber’s suggesting that the public is with him.
In reality, the pair will need a lot more tips if they come out on the losing side of the case. Johnny is suing Amber for $50 million for allegedly lying that he had abused her, while the actress is counter suing for $100 million on the basis that Johnny had organised a smear campaign against her.
Despite this seeming like a novel idea, in reality, fans have seen this before. In the video here, we can see that another coffee shop has decided to place similar tipping jars on their counter.
One included Kanye West’s name while the other is Pete Davidson, which was reflective of the pair’s feud on social media with Kim Kardashian stuck in the middle. On that occasion, it appeared that Pete was the one winning in the public eyes.
The response on social media was one of ridicule. People simply could not believe that there were those profiting from a legal case that threatens to destroy the lives of those involved. One person wrote: “It’s getting weird.”
