Chris Rock has revealed that he will refuse to speak about Will Smith’s incident unless he is paid.

The comedian became an internet sensation overnight for all the wrong reasons after Will lashed out at him over a joke he had directed towards his wife Jada Pinkett’s Smith hair loss.
While Chris has come out with a positive image in the aftermath of the incident by virtue of the fact that he kept his cool and did not lash out in kind, the very fact of the matter is that he does not want to constantly have to address his feelings on it.
And he made this clear during his performance at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. During the performance, Chris is alleged to have said the following: “I’m OK, I have a whole show, and I’m not talking about that until I get paid. Life is good. I got my hearing back.”
It is not clear whether Chris’ comments were made in jest, but irrespective of that, whatever the comedian decides to do he is in a good position for the following reasons. First of all, by staying silent, it only creates more enthusiasm for people to hear him speak out about this.
Secondly, Chris is able to dictate things on his own terms and potentially demand a huge pay-packet in the process. The fans on social media were on board with what Chris had to say.
People were of the view that this was the very least that Chris should be entitled to after having been humiliated in front of a global audience on one of the biggest events in the world. One fan wrote: “I hope Chris Rock milk this for all its worth. Netflix should pay the “fee hike” premium for that special.”
