Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky are facing criticism for a prank they played on their son’s birthday.
Chris Hemsworth And His Wife Slammed For Violent Prank On Their Son’s Birthday
Pataky received backlash from fans for the way she pushed her son’s face into his birthday cake.
The fans found her act to be violent and absurd. Pataky’s Instagram post showed her holding her son’s head down in a chocolate cake while her actor husband, along with their two other kids, laughed.
And this outrage was reflected in the comments that followed on social media. One person wrote: “Why people smash their kid’s face in the cake is above my understanding but whatever.”
While another person stated: “Why do people think this is funny? It’s so violent.” Nevertheless, not everyone was so angered.
This was on the basis of the following reasons. First of all, it was merely seen as doing something in jest. Therefore, the fact that all parties were laughing suggested that it was lighthearted.
Secondly, given that there was no damage done in the end, there was no reason to feel so aggrieved by it.
Lastly, in any event, Chris and Elsa had the right to do what they thought was best for their children by virtue of being their parents.
In response, another person stated: “Get a grip, folks. There is nothing “violent” about this. A family’s person dynamics and inside jokes belong in the family, not the tabloids.”
Another one remarked: “If you’re critical of this, YOU should take a look at YOUR life……….because YOU clearly don’t have enough in YOUR life to make YOU happy.”
This arrived on the back end of Hemsworth recently revealing that he would be taking a hiatus from acting after learning about his susceptibility to Alzheimer’s disease during the production of “Limitless.”
In an interview with Vanity Fair in November, the actor discussed the challenges of dealing with the results of his genetic test.
And given that the actor has a lot on his plate, it may explain why he has not responded to this latest controversy.
In his comments at the time, he remarked: “Most of us, we like to avoid speaking about death.
“Then to all of a sudden be told some big indicators are actually pointing to this as the route which is going to happen, the reality of it sinks in. Your own mortality.”
