So, a few days ago Charli D’Amelio and sister Dixie D’Amelio posted this video on their family youtube page where they had James Charles for dinner, a dinner that was personally prepared by their private chef Aaron May.
Instead of acting like two well-behaved teenagers should, instead they ended up gagging and being overdramatic about disliking the food and Charli even ended up asking for dino chicken nuggets halfway through the meal. The bad thing is, their parents let them act this way whipe they were in the room sitting at the same table.
Charli D’Amelio gets a reality check
It wasn’t just the table manners that had their fans appalled though. Apparently Charli brought up the fact that she only had 95 million tiktok followers and not 100 million.
When James Charles kind of called her out on that asking, “Was 95 million not enough for you?” she said, “I’m just talking round numbers. It would have been cool to gain 100 million followers by the anniversary of having 1 million followers.” Whoo, looks like Charli’s ego can easily rival the Paul Brothers so that’s cool that we now have 3 replacement balloons for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Joke or not, this whole thing went over horribly for the D’Amelio sisters. A little worse for Charli because up until now she was the app’s most followed creator but now her followers are jumping ship left and right because they don’t like her entitled attitude, even after her public twitter apology to chef Aaron May for insulting his food.
She hinted at him being in on the joke and that he was off-camera encouraging them to try things that would make them gag but perhaps they should have saved that for a different video and not one where they were at an almost formal sit down dinner. May has come out on twitter saying thw whole thing got blown out of proportion but the damage is done.
Now Charlie is wondering if she should even stay on TikTok since so many people hate her now and have unfollowed her. (it was just 1 million but apparently only that 1 million counted out of the rest of her 94 million other followers – were they the OG ones, perhaps?)
