Will Smith showed that he still had support as numerous Hollywood celebrities came out to support the private screaming of his film, “Emancipation.”

The movie is the first project since the actor’s infamous slapgate incident at the 2022 Oscars where he slapped comedian Chris Rock over his joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair loss.

And as part of that process, there were question marks over whether or not Will would be supported going forward. But from a showbiz point of view, he had several stars to support him including Rihanna, Dave Chappelle and Tyler Perry.

In a post with fans on Instagram, Will shared a selfie of himself including the various celebrities mentioned. They all have massive smiles on their faces and could not be any happier. The post was captioned by the following comments: “EPIC night!! Thanx for coming to see #Emancipation. Hope ya’ll enjoyed!!”

As for the actual film itself, it is centred around the journey of Smith’s character Pete who manages to escape slavery. And in the process of doing so, he finds liberation during the American Civil War. It is clearly a telling story, something which Smith recognised when he discussed what he had to go through in order to finish the project.

The film ended up testing his physical and mental capabilities, which is why he stated it was the most difficult movie had been involved in. His following comments confirmed as much: “This was the hardest movie I’ve ever made.

“Blood, Sweat & Tears… LITERALLY! Shoutout to Apple who doubled (and tripled) down on their commitment to deliver this epic story to the world.” If this is something that you fancy watching, then the movie will hit the cinema screens on Friday, 2nd December 2022.

And time will tell whether it does end up resonating with the audience at the box office, or if it does end up flopping. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
