There are some shifting parts in Genoa City that’s going to make things interesting going forward, and CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are crossing our fingers things go off without much of a hitch.
Of course, hoping for a smooth transition is a bit much, and we expect things to go sideways when the old guard fights to hang on.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victor works it out
It looks like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will connect the dots and figure out Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)’s ruse and what it meant for Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).
Victor will be proud of her for coming up with a plan like this, and he may kick himself for not figuring it out sooner before he tried to trick her into coming back.
But then it took someone to point out Ashland’s weakness was his son after knowing the man for a year, so we won’t be surprised if Victor has some help putting two and two together.
What’s going to be interesting is when he arrives for Victoria’s meeting with the family as we suspect she’ll demand he steps back and out of her life in every way, and that if she needs something she’ll come to him.
It may seem extreme, but he tried to browbeat her into staying, tried to manipulate her into coming back, and didn’t trust her one iota when she said she’d handle things.
That may be the biggest deal breaker because ‘Young and the Restless’ believed her when she said she’s severing ties and things are going to change.
She’ll refuse to be controlling and manipulated by Victor, and if he can’t accept that then she’s out of the company.
She may be anyway to let him deal with his manipulation and what may come of it.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Phyllis and her regrets
As much as we love Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she rarely seems to learn from her past mistakes.
On the plus side, she knows this and wants to change, but she lacks the wherewithal to do it.
Still, that won’t stop her from opening up to maybe Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and come clean about regretting he actions and the pain she caused.
Jack will understand and knows she has a good heart, but she can’t stand prosperity and will continually fall into old habits when she feels threatened.
