CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers is here with the start of a new theme week and throwback spoilers to go along with it. Looks like we’re going to enjoy some time with the Abbotts this week, and to kick things off with style, it’s starting with a wedding.
Coming to us from January 11, 1991, this episode features Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Brad Carlton (Don Diamont)’s wedding. Since it’s the Abbotts and not the Newmans, things should go smoothly, right?

There are plenty of bad or off things to point out with Traci and Brad’s relationship, but there’s just as many, if not more, good things. In many ways, they were the feel good story as Brad worked his way up from being a landscaper to being placed on the sales line at Jabot Cosmetics by John Abbott (Jerry Douglas).
While it’s the perfect example of nepotism since Traci loved him, Brad quickly increased sales and proved he was the right person for the job. As an added bonus and potential wedding gift, John made him the head of sales on his wedding day. It was a chance for both to begin anew as Brad replaced the family’s current black sheep, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). It was a big move for both, but would it end in a happy ending?

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For June 1: Nikki Struggles
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has seen her share of struggles and triumphs through the years. There’s an old belief that when someone marries money, their problems go away. Nikki is the fiction proof against that as everything that could go wrong in someone’s life did with hers at some point. In this case, CSB “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers hates to point out she dives into a bottle.
It’s a common theme in most shows because, well, it’s a common theme in society. And seeing someone as strong and reliable as Nikki fall prey to it but fight her way out gives hope to the rest of us. More than that, it’s a chance for us to enjoy a wonderful actress and character really work the angle and draw us into her suffering and dealing with things we may not have thought of, noticed, or expected to ever deal with. It’s something that can happen to anyone, and that helps make this a must see episode for CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers.
