CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers nothing like closing out a theme week in style, and the show is all set with a fun throwback spoilers to help get us ready. This has been a fun week as we’ve gotten to relive some of Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) best moments, but also actually seeing all four days linked in some way. This is the type of continuity ‘Young and the Restless’ and others have been begging for.

On that note, this episode is a continuation of a previous storyline we saw a couple of weeks back when Isabella Williams (Eva Longoria) drugged Cricket so she’d drown in her bathtub. Nothing like seeing the end a few weeks later, huh? Still, at least we get to see it resolved instead of living on the CBS.com website to watch them, although that’s still an option. Time to grab some snacks and drinks and sit back to enjoy this fun little treasure coming to us from August 5, 2003.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For July 3: Foiled again

Isabella’s plan seemed like a solid one until she decided to show herself and explain to Cricket why and what she was doing. Sure, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but Isabella lacked the big picture thought process on this. Of course, it’s hard to know when someone’s nipping at your heels when one is so involved in getting their way. At least, it’s what a lifetime of watching police dramas have taught us.

Like in those shows, the good guys won as Paul managed to get to Cricket’s in time to save her, but not before searching the rest of her apartment. He did notice the candlelight from under the bathroom door, but figured she was okay and got himself a drink. As luck would have it, he decided it was better not to startle Christine when she came out, so he wanted to tell her he was there. How thoughtful. And lucky.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For July 3: Saved the day

He discovered Isabella, who claimed she’d come there to find him but had found Christine dead from an overdose of sleeping pills. Paul hit her, then pulled Christine from the tub to try to revive her. While trying to revive her, Isabella tried to stab him with her knife, but Michael stopped her and dragged her away from the bathroom. Paramedics eventually arrived and revived Cricket, but not before she relived some of her happier moments, demonstrating how close she was to dying had they not managed to reach her.

Isabella, however, didn’t have such a pleasant time as the police saw the holes in her story as she explained everything. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) promised he’s happily make his statement in the morning about how she tried to stab Paul before she was handcuffed and dragged out. A pretty cool ending to a cool week has us excited to see what’s coming next week. What was your favorite episode this week?
