CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) might not be as smooth as he thinks he is. Just as he was about to take the top spot at Newman Enterprises, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) managed to push him to the side at just the right time. Here’s what you need to know.
Apparently, Nick is about to take control of the family business and it’s a move that has Adam scratching his head and wondering where he went wrong in his own plans for total domination. Unfortunately for him, he’s been stopped in his tracks by a rather vindictive and smug Nick, who is more than happy to turn the tables on him.

When asked if Nick is really treating Adam unfairly, the character’s portrayer, Joshua Morrow, admitted that he didn’t believe so. He told Soaps in Depth in a new interview, “In soaps, you are forced to have a short-term memory to push a story forward. But I can’t imagine Nick ever forgiving someone of the horrible things that Adam has done, specifically to him. Adam kidnapped Faith when she was a baby. Nick can forgive a lot of things, but when you mess with his children, he’s never going to forget that.”
So, does that mean things will always be this icy between Nick and Adam in the future? It depends on what the writing team’s outlook is, but some people aren’t holding their breath in the hopes that these two will make peace.
Joshua added, “The day the show decides to make these two get close might be my last day, because I love that relationship. Mark Grossman is doing a great job, because you feel sorry for Adam the way he plays him. But I’m gonna play Nick like, ‘I cannot stand this guy, and I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him.’”
