CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) couldn’t wait any longer to hear from her doctor, so she made the call herself. While at Crimson Lights, surrounded by Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), she called to hear about what the next step would be, the anticipation was killing her.
Once off of hold, she told the doctor she didn’t mind hearing the news over the phone. In fact, she’d prefer it, she’s in a familiar place surrounded by her loved ones so it’ll be just fine. We can’t hear what the doctor is saying but we see her reaction as she jerks and falls into Rey. So what was the news?

Good news! While they still have to move forward with surgery, Sharon won’t have to have a mastectomy ( the surgical removal of one or both breasts, partially or completely)! This is great news for them, as the other surgery is less invasive and has a good chance to get rid of the cancer.
Everyone around her is ecstatic and they all huddle around her to give her a hug. They get it completely worked out. Once she has the surgery she will take two weeks off, Mariah and Tessa will take care of Faith, Faith will do dishes and take out the garbage, Nick will jump in and run Crimson Lights, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) is going to make her food and Rey will be there to do anything Sharon needs. Sharon agrees to it all and we’re happy to hear Sharon won’t need the mastectomy. What do you think? Is Sharon’s surgery going to go well now? Let us know in the comments below.
