CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers finds that after the breaking news of Lola and Kyle’s inevitable divorce, fans were assuming that Kyle and Summer would pair off and Theo and Lola would pair off. Both couples had intense chemistry throughout the volatile marriage, leaving most fans rooting for their new couplings. However, after watching this week in the land of Genoa, it looks like everything isn’t exactly as it seems. That’s right: Theo shut down Lola.
Fans will be happy to hear that Summer and Kyle took a swing at their romance. The duo wound up in bed together in the steamy heat of passion. However, for anybody who has gone through heartbreak can assume, the news probably wouldn’t land well with Lola. Theo seemed to expect that as well.

Summer dropped the sex bomb on Theo when she admitted to him that her and Kyle did, in fact, wind up in bed together. She snidely ended the conversation with telling Theo that Lola was too good for him. (Which is an odd thing to say about your new beau’s fresh ex-wife). The comment didn’t sit too well with Theo, which lead to a string of events that rained on Theo and Lola’s potential romance. Theo – proving that he has turned over a new leaf in life after his old party-boy habits – felt compelled to tell Lola the truth about Summer and Kyle. This obviously was a difficult move for him knowing that he would cause hurt for Lola. In response, Lola ended up kissing Theo passionately. Just when we thought the heat was turning up, Theo through a curve ball and pushed Lola away!

Theo explained that his hesitation wasn’t due to his disinterest, but in fact his care for Lola and that he didn’t want things to heat up for the wrong reasons. Theo, acting as a complete gentleman, told Lola that he didn’t want either of them to regret any moves in their potential budding romance, nor did he want to take advantage of her. Lola responded with hurt, embarrassment, and anger…naturally. However, near the end of the episode, the two seemed to settle the waters.
However, the exchange definitely left YR fans guessing. Will Lola and Theo ever work out? Or will their romance fizz out, leaving Lola heartbroken, confused, and in the midst of divorce?
