CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers insinuates that no one seems to trust Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) these days. Everyone has red flags waving, believing that Phyllis is up to no good. And this time, they would not be wrong.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Lauren Fenmore’s (Tracey Bregman) Suspicions
The last time that Lauren saw Phyllis, she was a mess. She was drunk and out of her mind with sadness about her children. She was raving about how much she hated Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Now she is vibrant and full of life and energy. Lauren wants to know what it is all about, but Phyllis won’t say. Lauren asked if Phyllis could just take a girl’s trip to Vegas, but Phyllis says she is too busy.
She knows Phyllis doesn’t have a job and is on the outs with her kids, so there really isn’t anything stopping her. The only thing stopping her is her work for Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) to get revenge on Diane and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Also, when Lauren arrived at Society, she overheard Phyllis yelling at someone on the phone. It happened to be Stark, but Phyllis lied saying she was talking to the nail salon. She played it off like it was no big deal. All of these things are making Lauren strongly suspect that Phyllis is up to something.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Jack and Diane’s Return
When Jack and Diane run into Phyllis and Lauren at Society, Phyllis knows about Stark’s travel. This surprises them. Phyllis explains that Stark tried to recruit her to work with him to take them down, but she refused.
Something about all of her knowledge and something about her story about Stark gives them pause. While Diane notes that recruitment is exactly what Stark would do, it’s obvious that something about Phyllis’ story and attitude aren’t quite sitting right with them.
They feel like something is amiss. This is exactly the feeling that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) recently got too when Phyllis told her the exact same story. She feels that Phyllis is up to something.
