CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that Melody Thomas Scott has played a memorable Nikki Newman since 1979. At only 23, Melody Thomas Scott signed on to ‘Young and the Restless’. She was from the wrong side of the tracks and a stripper. Though Nikki’s character was supposed to be brief on the show, Melody left an incredible impact on the producers, actors, and fans. Now, in 2020, we still watch Nikki on the daytime drama. On February 19, 2019, she was featured in a Y&R stand-alone episode for her 40thanniversary. However, the beautiful blond bombshell has something else up her sleeve.
After months of fans wondering when Scott will be releasing her memoir, it was released that the book will be available for purchase on July 14, 2020.

Though Scott is well known as her role as Nikki, fans are itching to know about her personal life – which has remained primarily public. Scott has three children and married her husband, Edward J. Scott in 1985. She met her husband on the set of ‘Young and the Restless’. Edward was the show’s executive producer. Before her role as Nikki, Scott played in John Wayne’s film, ‘The Shootist’. In 1976, and the nighttime series ‘The Waltons’.
During her stint on Y&R, Nikki has been known for her marriage to powerhouse villain, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Nikki has been known as being a powerful, honest and empathetic character on the show. It’s reported that Scott’s memoir will touch on some hard-hitting topics about abuse, struggle, and survival. We can only assume that her memoir will be just as powerful as she is on the daytime drama. Melody Thomas Scott has named her memoir ‘Always Young and Restless’, which will be released on July 14th.
