CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that tensions are beginning to rise with Genoa City’s newest generation of schemers. Over the past few months, we have seen no shortage of drama with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Summer Newman (Hunter King), Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). Now, their drama has surpassed their romantic difficulties and moved onto business. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has had enough of the drama and pitted the two men against each other. Whoever develops a better marketing strategy for Jabot wins – and it looks like they are willing to go to great lengths to get the crown.
Theo had requested that Kendra, Kyle’s assistant, tell Theo exactly what Kyle and Summer are planning for their strategy. Despite my admiration for Theo, his request for intel is a little disheartening. Kendra informs Theo that Kyle and Summer reserved the space at the office. During a meeting later in the day, Kyle sends Kendra out. Summer and Kyle are onto the scheme. They both believe that Kendra is secretly working for Theo.

In response, the young couple baits Theo with and devise a plan. They begin to edit the server and loudly state that their work for the strategy is accessible on the server. Kendal took the bait, as she calls Theo and tells him the password so that he can access the files. Later on, Kyle and Summer toast. They believe that they have set the perfect trap, and they will have the upper hand with their pitch, despite Jack’s obvious disappointment in Kyle, of course.

There’s obviously a huge contrast in how conflict is handled now versus with the veterans back in the day. Genoa City vets were so good at what they did! Hopefully this doesn’t mean that Kendra will lose her job as Kyle’s assistant. Do you think Kyle and Summer will completely throw Theo off of his game?
