What will Jeremy’s return mean for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergeman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters)? They decided that to get Jeremy out of Diane’s life, they would need to frame him for a crime that he did not commit. Jack stole some jewelry from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and planted it on Jeremy. While some things did not quite add up for the arresting officer, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), he hasn’t been pressing the couple and seems to accept their stories.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki suspect Jack as well, but they haven’t said anything because they want Jeremy out of the way. What will they do now that he is back? His return may threaten more than Jack and Diane’s happiness. It could impact their freedom.
It’s also ironic that Jeremy appears in town on the very day that Diane moves into the Abbot mansion. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has already felt concerned about Jack and Diane’s relationship. He is worried that his mother is going to disappear again when things fall apart. Jack and Diane have tried to convince him that all will be well, but now that Jeremy is back, he may have had the right to feel concerned. Diane may not be living with Jack for long.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is having a rough go of it. Her kids have both fired her and they really want her to quite meddling in their professional and personal affairs. She can’t see that she is causing problems, so she feels that they are attacking her in the meanest way. She won’t listen to them explain their feelings about how she interjects herself into their situations.
Just as she is feeling upset with the whole world and wants to take it out on someone, Jeremy arrives and asks her if she needs a friend. He also may help her get her focus off her children and on to different things. He may be just the person to help Phyllis get her sweet revenge on Diane.
