CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may be on to something. While he doesn’t have any hard evidence, yet, he has painted quite the picture. After coming home from Kansas, Adam had an idea. He believed Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may have been responsible for the death of A.J Montalvo. Why? Well, Victor was in town around the same time he died. Though as first this sounds even more flimsy and silly than normal, Adam may have connected some dots correctly.
Adam believes that his stepfather, Cliff, was killed by A.J for not repaying a loan, and covered it up as a drunk driving accident. This is further supported as Adam seems to have discovered Cliff’s finance records from a bank in Kansas. There was a huge sum of cash added, with small amounts taken out each month. These could have been loan payments.

Is there a chance that A.J killed Cliff for not making his payments, and that Victor returned to keep Adam and Hope safe? Adam has called Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) to try to coerce her to help him with this but wasn’t very receptive. At first. She seems to have come around though, and with her and Adam working on this, we could see a revelation soon. Or will Victor step in to shut it down?
This started out as what seemed like a way for Adam to blackmail Victor, but what happens next could be a surprise. Maybe Victor was just protecting him, how would Adam feel about the situation then? I think Adam and Victor may end up speaking about this situation before Adam digs too deep and come to an understanding. What do you think? Is Adam right about this?
