Nothing like ending the week on a semi high point, though CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers is hoping the new energy we’re sensing coming off the show isn’t a mirage.
They’re good at promising a lot the last few months only for the storylines to fizzle, so we’re taking it with a grain of salt.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For March 12: Victoria wins
The spark has come in the form of Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) as she’ll have a surprise for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and we think it’ll be a good one.
‘Young and the Restless’ have a feeling that she’s going to tell Billy her and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) have come to a deal for his media division.
It’ll be a shock for Billy, but it’ll keep it away from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) so that’ll go a long way in protecting him.
He won’t like that and it could create a rift between them while Victoria is trying to do a good thing and win Billy over because, well, winning Billy back is important to her.
There’s a possibility that this could lead to her handing it over to Victor, but we don’t see her doing that.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For March 12: Elena and Devon can’t deal
As we’ve grown accustomed to, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) are struggling to gain closure on sleeping together and cheating on their significant others.
This storyline has been drawn out far longer than it should’ve and we think it’ll continue for another few months until they find their way back to each other because that’s what soap operas do.
This will have some more not-so-deep contemplation we’ve seen a hundred times as well as assurances to each other they’ll figure it out and they don’t want to hurt anyone else.
Rinse. Repeat. Circle back for another go in a month or two.
This then opens the possibility of what will or could happen with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) down the road.
This will be ugly before it gets better, and with any luck Devon and Elena will get exactly what they deserve.
The worst part about this storyline is the actors and actresses deserve so much better, but when having to put a story out five days a week for fifty-two weeks a year there will be weak moments.
