CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers tell us that all is not well in Genoa – at least for one side of the feuding families. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) seems to finally be improving after over a week in a hospital bed after a terrible attack from Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes). However, despite the good news for the Newman family, it seems as though the Abbott family is in for heartbreak. Dina Abbott (Marla Adams) seems to be in declining health.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) informs Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) that Dina’s health is seriously deteriorating. After being sick for some time, Dina has lost her appetite and is sleeping more than usual. Abby, being the kind daughter that she is, is concerned for her mother, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).

Shortly after, Jack phones Ashley with the terrible news and requests that she comes home immediately. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) joins Jack and tells him that he offered to run Newman as Victoria is in then hospital recovering. Jack (being supportive and stoic) encourages Adam to pursue the position, but recommends that he step down as soon as Victoria is in better health and ready to return. It’s lovely to see Jack being supportive of the Newman’s after decades of feisty feuds between Jack and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

In a following scene, Victoria finally wakes up in the hospital. She is immediately confused and questioning who would possibly do this to her! Her father, Victor, decides to not tell her that it was Ripley who attacked her. He doesn’t want to cause Victoria more turmoil – after all, Ripley is still on the loose.
After over a week of worry, Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) finally tells the Newman family that Victoria is finally healthy enough to head home to recover! He warns the Newman’s that she still has to overcome physical difficulties and emotional trauma, and that the healing process may take a while. The Newmans are understanding and ready to help Victoria overcome this tragic ordeal.
It’s been a week of medical difficulty and health concerns over in Genoa City, however, luckily Victoria looks to be out of the woods – at least for now. Unfortunately, the Abbott family may be in for a difficult rollercoaster if Dina’s health continues to decline. What do you think of all of this? Are you hoping that Dina will pull through?
