CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are set to downshift into a character building episode after the brief flash of excitement, and it looks like it’s a circle back moment.
It’s not so much that it’s rehashing old storylines as it is recapping them as everyone will sit around trying to figure out what’s next. There should be some fun moments, so let’s dive in.

It’s good they’re not putting off trying to work things out beyond their agreement, but we’re sure Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will continue to struggle in meeting in the middle.
It’s not an easy thing for Abby as she thought she had her family, but she agreed it’s the right thing for her husband to heal, so she’s going to make an effort.
We expect a lot of rehashing and for her to explain she feels betrayed for the hundredth time, but it’s important she gets it out.
It’s the first step of many ‘Young and the Restless’ are sure will be many more in the coming months.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For February 2: Phyllis Considers Leaving Again
Despite everyone trying to convince her otherwise, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is still planning on heading to Italy for a while, or maybe she’ll check out another spot after her visit?
Either way, she doesn’t feel there’s a reason to remain in Genoa City.
This will cue Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to step in and dash the barrier to the friendzone to give her a reason to stay.
Honestly, we’d prefer to see them both find new love interests instead of bouncing back and forth, but they do have a dynamic that’s fun so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For February 2: Tessa comes clean
Whelp, we’re pretty sure this won’t be a third proposal, so that leaves Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) coming clean about how Noah Newman (Rory Gibson)’s drunken comments.
Which will push a few of Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes)’s buttons and that’s never a good thing.
To be honest, we didn’t expect Tessa to throw Noah under Mariah’s bus for a drunken comment, but more drama is needed.
Looks like the Newman family is going to have multiple fires to put out.
