Hello, and thank you for joining CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers once again! This is a slightly different spoiler that some of us may not have noticed. There’s been a change in policy at Y&R where recurring actors appearing in that episode will now be in the opening credits. How cool is that?

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Teaser pleaser

It’s like a teaser for the episode without all the drama or recap, and it’s an interesting angle. It’s a way to get fans to tune in and have a stake in the show in case the episode description is lacking or isn’t up due to some technical issue. It gives us a reason to stick around and watch the episode instead of walking away when a part comes up we’re not interested in because our favorite character could pop into any scene. It’s the magic of recurring characters, and the Y&R show runners are using it to entice us like never before.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) Opening Credits Hints Big Even With Major Past Stars Returning!

Let’s look at it this way, How many of us won’t watch or pay attention if we know what’s going to happen? Now, we’re going to pay attention and watch the opening credits so see if we really need to leave the room for something or if it can wait. It’s a sneaky, underhanded way to get us to pay attention, but it also gives the recurring actors their fair share of acknowledgement. It’s a cool way to reward them for agreeing to come back time and again.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: We can thanks Beth Maitland

Yep, CBS ‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers noticed Beth Maitland her as many of our fellow fans did as well a couple of months back. We’ve gotten used to seeing her here and there for a day or two, then not for a month or more as her character, Traci Abbott, would arrive for family get-togethers and such. In a recent interview, the actress even admitted she was “over the moon” at this since she hadn’t been in the opening credits for “20 or 25 years!”

While there will probably be detractors of this innovation, it’s obvious stars like Beth really appreciate this, and it couldn’t have come at a better time with the show celebrating actor Eric Braeden’s 40 yearanniversary in unison with Newman Enterprise’s 50 year anniversary gala. Rumor has it they’ll be bringing back several old stars and their characters for the event, giving us and them a real feeling of unity and festivity after all of these years.

Imagine how we’re all going to feel when/if we see their names in the opening credits like Beth’s. TO be honest, even if they’re not considered recurring characters due to being away for a long time, they should still be given this treatment. It’d be great to see, and it’d show them that they’re appreciated and missed. As always, stay tuned to CBS ‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for any updates, spoilers, and fun theories. And, of course, don’t hesitate to leave a comment telling us your thoughts. We’re all fans and appreciate the opportunity to interact with each other.
