CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that there’s been a power struggle for the hotel between Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). After Phyllis blackmailed Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) using Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) Las Vegas situation, she revealed that she’s coming for the whole thing! Now, she just needs to get past Abby.
So how is she going to go about this? She knows Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) was involved in the Vegas situation but seems to be using a different tactic to gain leverage on Abby. While they were discussing a deal, Abby’s plan is seemingly tossed to the side. It looked like she was trying to sell her shares to Phyllis at a crazy amount. This was overplayed by what happened next though.

CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Abby Gets Sued! – Was It Phyllis’s Plan?
During their meeting, someone comes up to Abby holding a manilla envelope. He hands it to Abby and says, “You’ve been served.”. Phyllis acts surprised in the most awful and obvious way possible. This has Phyllis written all over it. This is all part of her plan, and her ability to plan ahead rivals only Batman. The manilla envelope contained a document explaining that Abby was being sued due to someone citing they have PTSD due to the Simon Black hostage situation last year.
This is likely mocked up by Phyllis to get Abby to dump the hotel off on her. Then Phyllis would have to deal with the drama. However, that is exactly what Phyllis wants. Mockup the document, scare Abby to dumping the hotel off to her and as soon as Phyllis is in charge the document disappears. Easy peasy. This has Abby seemingly surprised and worried.
