CBS The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers love it when we get to look at various fan theories and add our own to what’s about to happen, but B&B really threw us a curveball this week.
We’ve been geared up with what to expect with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Was she sick or pregnant? Is she faking or not?
Well, some of those answer came in the form of a doctor’s explanation of what’s wrong with her that was devastating. Sally and Katie Logan (Heather Tom) both showed great emotion at the diagnosis. There’s just one problem.

Yep, CBS in their infinite wisdom changed camera angles to outside the room so we couldn’t hear what the doctor said. But seeing Sally and Katie’s reactions told us it wasn’t good, and both have been on an emotional roller coaster since then.
It’s great Sally knows what’s wrong, but it’s not so good that she only has a month left.
What really sucks for us, especially at CBS The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers, is that we have no clue. It could be any number of things. The network is obviously relying on the ability of the actors to carry the weight until (if they ever do) they reveal the disease.
It’s a smart move in that we won’t be googling it and fact checking everything the doctors or characters do. It allows us to remain lost in the story and feel helpless along with Sally and Katie.
But then there’s the thought that is was a cowardly way to go. That’s not wrong, but it seems more along the lines they don’t have a name for it and want to play with our heart strings.
Haven’t we suffered enough?
We’re lumped into the rest of Los Angeles and won’t know what it is until Sally decides she wants others to know. It’s another awesome writer’s trick that really strikes home, and we hate them for it (Nice job, though).
As more people are brought into the loop, we may hear a name for it. But until then, we get to sit back and wait. Well, maybe.
