CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers finds that star Tanner Novlan (Dr. Finn) says that it was very difficult for him to keep this huge secret from his mother for the longest time. Here’s what he has to say.
Speaking to Soaps in Depth in a new interview, the handsome actor admitted that his mother is a huge fan of ‘Bold and the Beautiful’, but unfortunately, he could not tell her that he was joining the show right away. Tanner began filming back in March but because of the coronavirus pandemic, production was forced to shut down for several months.

The handsome actor told the site, “So when I found out I got the job way back in March, she was one of the ones I wanted to tell right away but it was still under wraps and I couldn’t say anything. So I had to keep a secret from everybody until we went back in July.”
When Tanner said that his mother is a huge B&B fan, he wasn’t kidding at all. That’s because their own family dog is named after a character from the popular CBS daytime soap.
“She is such a fan that our family dog’s name was Thorne,” Novlan revealed. “After Thorne Forrester. And she spelled it even with the ‘e’ at the end! So B&B has been playing in our house ever since I was a kid so each one of the storylines has always been a part of my life.”
With his mom by his side, Tanner adds that she helped him bring everyone up to speed as far as “who is who” in this fictional town of Los Angeles where the Logan, Spencer, and Forrester legacy families reside.
“I’m up to speed,” the actor chuckled. “Which is kind of ironic, because my character, Dr. Finn, is an outsider. He’s not part of the family yet or anything, so he’s getting up to speed.”
