CBS ‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers finds that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has been diagnosed with the final stages of… whatever that is. They’ve decided not to name it so it could really be anything. I am thinking inoperable brain tumor because she mentioned final stages and stages are usually only mentioned when a cancer diagnosis is thrown around. She also mentioned that there is no real treatment out there for it so I am also thinking that it’s kind of rare. Now that could be a number of rare diseases that could hurt motor function. But I have seen a similar storyline before, and probably, so have you.

Does anybody remember the first season of Empire? Lucious Lyons (Terence Howard) was diagnosed with ALS and everyone thought he was dying, then after midseason it was discovered that he wasn’t dying he just had a non-fatal disease that mimicked some of the symptoms of ALS. I am thinking that that’s what this will turn out to be. However, that’s not a guarantee so let’s explore what other options this storyline has.

Katie Logan (Heather Tom) mentioned finding specialists that dealt in this kind of treatment. If by specialist you mean adding a new character to the mix, then that might be interesting. Not that we don’t trust Sally’s current doctor but if she’s wrong or can’t treat Sally’s particular condition then she has every right to get treatment, or even a second opinion from someone who can. That being said, the rumors are that Sally is going to refuse treatment, which, again, is common with cancer patients. So that’s where my mind is leaning. However if Sally did meet with a specialist just to see what her options were then there could be the possibility of a love connection later on, after the treatment that is. And it’d be interesting to see Sally find happiness with someone who isn’t Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), or Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).

Okay the twin doesn’t have to be evil, but this can be a possibility. After all, Courtney Hope doesn’t actually look to be leaving B&B anytime soon. So while the character of Sally Spectra may meet her maker, that doesn’t necessarily mean that her actress is out of the picture. After all, there seems to be another soap by a different name on the same network that has used this device with great success in the past. Sally might die but someone who looks amazingly like her could crop up a few months, or even a few weeks later, sending Wyatt reeling. Of course this character would be totally different, personality-wise but just look exactly like Sally. Either way, it might be the avenue they’re going to travel down. I mean, stranger things have happened… we all thought Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) was dead for quite awhile and as it turns out she was just off living with a Prince. Maybe this Prince operates a convalescent home? Stay tuned!!!
