CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers finds that star Jacqueline MacInnes Wood truly is someone who lives by her own set of rules, and that’s probably why it doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone that she and her husband Elan Ruspoli decided to get married on a whim while they were vacationing in Italy back in 2018. As a matter of fact, the actress, who is best known for her role as Steffy Forrester on the hit CBS soap, says that she never intended to go the traditional wedding day route at all. While Steffy Forrester might sometimes seem like a high-maintenance character on ‘Bold and the Beautiful’, Jacqueline is far from that in real life. For her, getting married Italy just seemed like it was perfect timing seeing how all of her closest family and friends just happened to be on the trip with them.

“We went to Italy for the summer, and it was perfect timing because our friends and family were also traveling,” she explained to Soaps In Depth in a new interview this week. “We ended up meeting them on a yacht, and one of my friends who was there officiates weddings, so we said, ‘Okay, let’s do this.’”

And while some couples like to do it a second time around back at home, Jacqueline and Elan didn’t feel the need to. Instead they just went to their local court house to sign their names on the dotted line as new husband and wife. “We later filed all our paperwork back in the U.S.,” said Wood. “It ended up being just perfect.”
